Is Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Cereal Healthy? Ingredients & Nutrition Facts

Post cereals did it again. One of America’s favorite cereal lines keeps getting bigger and better. This time, Post added marshmallowy goodness to Pebbles to make a unique fruity treat for breakfast. We all love Fruity Pebbles, so simply adding marshmallows was a no-brainer.

While the marketing was fun, the entire box super disappointed most people, as it lacked a lot of the unique features the cereal was trying to make for itself. At the time, it was the only cereal that had failed to do so of the Pebbles varieties.

Nevertheless, it did make a giant leap forward in recipes such as Pebble alternatives to rice Krispie treats, and the absolute favorite bottom line is that it’s still Fruity Pebbles.

Are Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Healthy?

No, Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles cereal is not a portion of healthy food, but none of the Pebbles cereal products are healthy foods. This is for a few specific reasons.

First, all of the Pebbles cereals, especially Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles, have very heavy sugar content. A single bowl of this cereal is roughly made up of 50% sugar. That is a very unhealthy amount of sugar for anyone to consume.

Secondly, Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles cereal contains several additives and preservatives that cannot be considered healthy either. Specifically, there are artificial flavors, yellow, red, and blue color additives, and most importantly, BHT.

All of this combined does not make for a very healthy food product.

Are Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Gluten-Free?

Yes, though not actually healthy, Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles cereal, along with all the Pebble cereals, is a gluten-free broad. Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles is essentially a rice product, and rice is a very gluten-friendly food.

Are Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Vegan?

No, there are several reasons for why Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles is not a vegan food.

To begin with, marshmallows are not considered vegan as they contain gelatin. Gelatin is a byproduct of animals, typically animal bones and animal cartridges.

Also, Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles cereal contains Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B12. These two vitamins cannot be sourced from anything plant-based; they are always a by-product of an animal product. Thus, they are not acceptable to strict adherence to a vegan diet.

Are Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Keto?

No, like all sugar-based breakfast cereals, Marshmallow Fruity Pebble cereal will not fit into any interpretation of a Keto diet. A Keto diet is all about heavily restricting a person’s carbohydrate intake to, at the most, 20 -30 grams of carbohydrates a day.

One bowl of Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles will take a Keto diet over that limit.

Are Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles High In Protein?

Again, as with most sugar-based breakfast foods, this cereal is not high in a protein food product. Food products designated at high in protein are called such because they deliver at least 10 grams of protein for each serving portion.

This cereal only delivers 2 grams, which is typical of other sugary options in the cereal aisle but not a high in protein food.

Are Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles High In Fiber?

This cereal is also not a source of dietary fiber. In fact, there is absolutely no dietary fiber in a bowl of Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles cereal. It is important to remember that, as recommended by the FDA, a person should consume around 25 grams of dietary fiber each and every day.

This cereal will not help you get to that recommended mark.

Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Varieties

This cereal is, in fact, a variation itself. Post continues to develop and add new cereal to their very popular Pebbles line of cereal. This was simply another addition to that line.

Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Store Brand Alternatives

Interestingly, the entire line of Pebbles branded cereal has withstood any legitimate attempt to be copied. This is primarily due to the cereal generating such a large fan following and its association with the cartoon, the Flintstones.

Where You Can Buy Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles

Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles cereal can be found wherever the remainder of the Post Pebbles cereal varieties is offered or any Post Consumer brands cereal can be found.

Famous Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles Cereal Commercials

Post launched Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles with a stunning well-animated commercial. It depicted Fred and Barney at the quarry taking a lunch break. Then Fred, Barney, and all the dinosaurs began dancing and had marshmallows in their mouths. It was a very fun and enjoyable commercial which can be seen as part of a compilation of Pebbles commercials on YouTube.

Are Cocoa Pebbles Healthy?

When it comes to Cocoa Pebbles, they’re not the best when it comes to cereal options. If you’re looking for a healthy cereal, then you’ll want to steer clear of this one, especially with its high sugar content and additional chocolate flavor.

They have certainly been ranked previously as having some unhealthier ingredients in their contents. While that may be true, it shouldn’t stop you from enjoying this chocolatey cereal if you fancy having it as your morning breakfast bowl or as the occasional treat on Friday!

Are Cocoa Pebbles Gluten-Free?

Those with gluten intolerance or celiac disease can shout from the rooftops with joy, just like Fred Flintstone, because these Cocoa Pebbles are gluten-free. Yes, you heard us right; this is a type of chocolate cereal that has been made to include those who need a gluten-free option.

While it may not be the healthiest, it does cater to those who require a gluten-free cereal.

Are Cocoa Pebbles Vegan?

The manufacturers are Cocoa Pebbles, aka Post, which will suggest that this cereal is vegan. However, there are some natural and artificial flavors that are produced by plants or animals. As vegans don’t eat any foods that are animal byproducts, some vegans may choose not to pick this as their cereal preference.

Of course, what you feel is suitable for your veganism is up to you. While the ingredients themselves are animal products, you may feel that certain flavorings aren’t suitable for your food preferences.

Are Cocoa Pebbles Keto?

Cocoa Pebbles aren’t considered to be friendly for those on a keto diet because of their carb and sugar content. It’s best to avoid them due to the amount of intake you should be having as a person on keto.

For example, your net carb consumption should be somewhere between 20-30g per day. This cereal has 84.72g of carbs per 100g serving.

Sugar is also something that can prevent you from reaching ketosis if you have too much of it and there’s too much sugar in Cocoa Pebbles.

Are Cocoa Pebbles High In Protein?

There is 2g of protein within this cereal, and that includes the chocolate milk that you’ll devour once you’ve finished the pebbles themselves.

This delicious cereal, despite its flavor, is one that you might want to swap out for a higher protein option. However, you might not require much protein in your breakfast cereal anyway, opting to get it in your lunch or dinner meals.

Are Cocoa Pebbles High In Fiber?

With less than one gram of fiber in each serving of Cocoa Pebbles, we’d recommend you choose another option if you’re looking to improve the fiber intake for your digestive system. If you’re not that fussed about the additional fiber that a breakfast meal can present, continue enjoying the chocolate flavor and chocolate milk afterward!

Cocoa Pebbles Varieties

There’s the Cocoa Fruity Pebbles cereal available that is part of the Cocoa Pebbles range. This one contains sweet fruity pebbles that are a colorful rainbow for your breakfast bowl.

There’s always the marshmallow cocoa pebbles and a range of others, including; Magic Fruity Pebbles and Pebbles Shake-Up.

Famous Cocoa Pebbles Cereal Commercials

This one sees Fred get a visit from his good friend Barney who is pretending to be an angel to get a spoonful of the cocoa pebbles cereal!

This was a similar theme that would continue through commercials like this one where Barney fools Fred again by pretending to be a mum. This video also contains a variety of commercials featuring the Fruity Pebbles alternative too.

Are Cocoa Krispies Healthy?

Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies cereal is made with real chocolate and consists of oven-toasted puffed rice cereal. They have a great chocolate flavor and make for a delicious breakfast, especially with the leftover chocolate milk that it leaves behind.

When it comes to the health benefits of this cereal, it is a great source of vitamins and minerals. It’s also low in fat, making it a fairly healthy breakfast dish.

In comparison to other processed alternatives, Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies is a great choice.

Are Cocoa Krispies Gluten-Free?

Unfortunately, the cocoa Krispies breakfast cereal isn’t gluten-free. This is due to the malt flavor which comes from barley. As such, they are not gluten-free and sadly can’t be enjoyed by those that have a gluten intolerance or allergies to gluten.

There are many gluten-free alternatives out there, and Kelloggs offers a number of gluten-free cereals.

Are Cocoa Krispies Vegan?

If you’re vegan, then your luck is in! They are generally considered to be vegan because they don’t contain any animal ingredients. However, depending on your veganism, you may wish to avoid them as they do contain sugar, natural flavorings, and Vitamin D3.

These are considered to be somewhat grey areas for some vegans. This is something that may be decided upon individually.

Are Cocoa Krispies Keto?

Despite them being a healthier option than most, this family favorite cereal is not keto-friendly. This is due to the high levels of carbs and that it’s processed food. It also contains an unhealthy amount of ingredients like sugar, dextrose, and soybean oil, all of which are frowned upon in this diet.

If you’re a strict dieter when it comes to keto, then you’ll want to avoid Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies.

Are Cocoa Krispies High in Protein?

There are 3g of protein in Cocoa Krispies. These are particularly high in protein, and when it comes to processed foods, you’re not likely to see many of them containing high levels of protein.

For breakfast cereal, this might not be much of a big deal to some, but if you’re looking for a high protein breakfast, you may wish to bulk this cereal up with some nuts and seeds or peanut butter.

Are Cocoa Krispies High in Fiber?

If you’re buying real cocoa Krispies, you get 0.5g of fiber in your breakfast bowl, including that chocolate milk that you get to wash your cereal down with.

When buying cereal, high in fiber options will likely be made up of granola or wheat. For those looking for high fiber sources, you’re not going to really find it with these Krispies. You’d need to have multiple bowls before you reach a good fiber intake.

However, you may end up overdoing it on the sugar front as a result!

Cocoa Krispies Varieties

There are a number of varieties available when it comes to this type of cereal. These are:

Coco Pops Chocos – These are chocolate flavored, crunch wheat cereal. Great for those who want to boost their fiber intake.

Coco Pop Rocks – Soft and classic crunch chocolate tastes. It’s made up of many big pieces in comparison to the Krispies, and they contain wheat.

Coco Pops Jumbos – Extra crunch chocolate maize cereal that is the biggest in size compared to all the varieties.

Cocoa Pebbles – Another variation of the Cocoa Krispies, but they look like pebbles!

Cocoa Krispies Store Brand Alternatives

When shopping in-store or online, there are plenty of places that will offer alternatives to the Kellogg’s brand of Krispies. However, we’ve got a few suggestions, whether that’s a keto-friendly option to higher fiber, low-carb options.

  • Kashi Go Dark Cocoa (Keto-friendly)
  • Mom’s Best Cereals Crispy Cocoa Rice
  • Wholesome Provisions
  • Gefen Crispy-Os

This commercial features the cereal mascot, Coco the Monkey, swinging through the jungle and singing the theme tune of the cereal brand.

Is OOPS! All Berries Healthy?

The Quaker oats company is responsible for a variety of cereals that range from sweet, savory, and super healthy breakfast options.

With Cap’n Crunch’s Oops! All Berries, unfortunately, it’s not quite the nutritious breakfast that you might be looking for when trying to stay healthy. Of course, giving yourself a treat every so often is great, but when it comes to this cereal, it contains a lot of sugar, and no berries are insight.

Adding actual berries and fruit would make this healthier, but it doesn’t remove the number of sugary ingredients that are in this breakfast cereal.

Is OOPS! All Berries Gluten-Free?

For those looking to buy gluten-free cereal, it’s best to look elsewhere, especially with the whole range of Cap’n Crunch’s cereal. It’s made with regular oat flour, and this is an ingredient that may be contaminated with gluten.

If you have celiac disease, it’s certainly best to avoid this cereal due to oats cross-contaminating with wheat, rye, and barley. Those with a gluten intolerance should tread carefully if trying this breakfast cereal and perhaps opt for something else instead.

Is OOPS! All Berries Vegan?

There are a number of Cap’n Crunch options that are vegan, but there are a number of them that are not guaranteed to be best for vegans.

Sadly, the Oops! All Berries is not something that can be guaranteed as being vegan. This is because certain ingredients are frowned upon by vegans. However, you may want to check all the ingredients for yourself and make a decision on whether it’s the best option for you.

Other varieties of the Cap’n Crunch that are not guaranteed vegan are the Cotton Candy Crunch and the Red, White & Blue cereal.

Is OOPS! All Berries Keto?

Most of the Cap’n Crunch cereals are not keto-friendly because of them being processed and contain high levels of carbohydrates. There are also a lot of unhealthy ingredients considered to be such by the Keto diet, which includes palm oil, sugar, and BHT/BHA.

It’s worth avoiding any processed cereals if you’re on a keto diet, as these are unlikely to be keto-friendly.

Is OOPS! All Berries High In Protein?

The All Berries cereal contains 2g of protein which isn’t considerably high for a breakfast cereal, but in comparison to a few of the other processed, sugary alternatives, it’s one of the higher ones overall.

For higher protein breakfast options, we’d recommend adding nuts and seeds to your bowl of cereal or at least adding them in other ways with your lunch and dinner options. You can also enjoy more protein-filled foods as snacks throughout the day to make up for your lack of intake during breakfast.

Is OOPS! All Berries High In Fiber?

Like most of the Cap’n Crunch cereal, the Cap’n Crunch’s Oops! All Berries aren’t that high in fiber. In fact, there’s less than one gram available in every serving. This isn’t the best for helping with your digestive system, but then again, not all breakfast cereals are intended to provide an ample source of fiber for your daily value.

OOPS! All Berries Varieties

There are a variety of Cap’n Crunch cereals available to choose from if you fancy something different from this cereal in particular. Here’s what you can find in the Cap’n Crunch range from the Quaker Oats Company.

  • Cap’n Crunch’s Original,
  • Crunch Berries, Peanut Butter Crunch
  • Cotton Candy Crunch
  • Cap’n Crunch’s Red, White & Blue Crunch

OOPS! All Berries Store Brand Alternatives

There are a number of brands that offer a similar option to the Cap’n Crunch’s Oops! Cereal. Some have the same natural and artificial flavor, while others are healthier and diet-friendly. These are:

  • Very Berry Cheerios
  • Naturya Superfood Breakfast Boost
  • Kellogg’s Blueberry, Apple & Beetroot Multigrain Shapes
  • Dorset Cereals Luscious Berries & Cherries Museli

Where You Can Buy OOPS! All Berries

If you’re looking for a stocklist of Quaker Oats Company cereals, you’ll find this cereal in the following locations:

  • Amazon
  • eBay

You may find them at a number of grocery stores as well as some other specialist online stores that sell the whole range of Capn’s tasty cereal.

Famous OOPS! All Berries Cereal Commercials

Like some of the other cereals from the range, there’s only one for the Oops! All Berries cereal that we could find.

Is Peanut Butter Crunch Healthy?

There are a lot of processed cereals that aren’t very healthy. There’s a certain degree of healthiness to some, but they are often considered less healthy than natural alternatives.

In the case of Cap’n crunch’s peanut butter crunch, this cereal contains quite a lot of sugar, particularly with the sweetened corn and peanut butter flavoring added in. Whilst this creamy peanut butter flavor is tasty; it’s going to provide you with some mid-morning sugar crashes that may not be healthy to occur regularly.

Is Peanut Butter Crunch Gluten-Free?

If you require a cereal option that’s gluten-free, then sadly, you probably won’t find it with Cap’n Crunch peanut butter cereal. This is due to the oat flour used, which is neither gluten-free nor a safe option for those who are celiac.

It’s a shame, especially for those who are pining for that rich peanut butter flavor on offer!

Is Peanut Butter Crunch Vegan?

Cap’n crunch peanut butter cereal is made specifically for vegans! According to PETA, you can happily munch away on this delicious cereal as it contains no animal byproducts of any kind, according to official guidance.

This goes for some of the other variations that are provided by the Cap’n Crunch line.

Is Peanut Butter Crunch Keto?

If you’re on a Keto diet, then, unfortunately, you’ll be saddened to hear that the Cap’n crunch peanut butter cereal is sadly not keto-friendly.

The reason for this is that a keto diet is often very restrictive in what you can and can’t eat. This oat cereal contains unhealthy ingredients according to keto, which includes palm oil, sugar, and BHA/BHT.

Is Peanut Butter Crunch High in Protein?

This cereal only contains 2g of protein, making it a fairly low amount of your daily allowance in this category. However, for many people, breakfast isn’t always the main contributor to protein intake, so this might not affect your choice of cereal too much.

Is Peanut Butter Crunch High in Fiber?

Cap’n crunch peanut butter contains less than a gram of your daily dietary fiber. This is a lot less than most cereals have when it comes to unprocessed versions. If you’re looking to better your digestive system, then fiber is a good source of nutrients.

Whilst the oat cereal is a good contributor to fiber; a bowl isn’t going to give you as much as you might expect.

Peanut Butter Crunch Varieties

Whilst Cap’n Crunch Peanut Butter has only one variety in its collection; there are a number of other options to choose from in the range. These include Cotton Candy, Galatic Crunch, Red, White & Blue Crunch, as well as Cinnamon Roll Crunch.

An earlier one back in 1989 shows a cartoon-made commercial that sees ‘The Soggies’ trying to steal the peanut butter crunch bird and the Captain rescuing the bird.

Finally, this commercial from 1997 has Captain helping the kids build a treehouse by giving them a bowl of cereal.
