Is Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter Clusters Cereal Healthy? Ingredients & Nutrition Facts

The original Crunchy Nut cereal has been a popular mainstay since it was launched by the cereal giant Kellogg’s in 1980. In 2017 they created a new variety, Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter Clusters, which are also now very popular.

They’re made of delicious oats, peanut pieces, wheat crisps, and peanut butter, meaning they’re a favorite amongst children and adults alike.

Though they’re notoriously sweet Kellogg’s has made an effort to keep the sugar content relatively low, but certainly hasn’t compromised on tastiness.

This cereal is another great addition to a line of Kellogg’s products that is much loved. Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter Clusters may well be the best variety yet.

However, they are pretty high in saturated fat. One serving amounts to 12% of your daily amount, which is 2.3g. This is not too surprising for a peanut butter cereal, as this confectionary is typically high in fat.

For how sweet the cereal is though, it is certainly not the unhealthiest option when compared with other brands. You will also be getting a good amount of vitamins in each serving as well.

This means it does quite well against its competitors when it comes to fiber content, and as long as you eat lots of other high-fiber foods throughout the day, this should make a good breakfast option.

Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter Clusters Cereal Store Brand Alternatives

As you’d expect from the cereal giant, Kellogg’s doesn’t have too many competitors for this product at the moment. The main store brand alternative currently available is Walmart’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Puffs which are made using whole grains, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and caramel.

So, for now, you might just have to stick to Kellogg’s cereal for your peanutty, crunchy perfection.

You can purchase Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Peanut Clusters from most grocery stores, and also online from retailers such as Amazon.

Famous Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter Clusters Cereal Commercials

The marketing campaign for this cereal is quite irreverent and whacky and portrays Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter Clusters as an irresistible and fun treat that can be eaten for breakfast or as a snack at any time of day.

With this in mind, if you’re following a cruelty-free diet, you should always be wary of any cereal, as it’s difficult to tell if they adhere to the ethics of your diet.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereak Healthy? Ingredients & Nutrition Facts

Kellogg's All Bran Fibre Crunch Berry Burst 390G

All-Bran’s superior fiber credentials have never been in question, making it the first word in high fiber cereals for many years.

Despite being part of a healthy diet, many consumers might choose other cereals at breakfast because while All-Bran offers high fiber, it’s lower in sweetness than the competition. That’s why Kellogg’s has released a series of All-Bran variants that pack the high fiber kick of the original recipe but with a little sweet incentive.

In the case of Berry Crunch, you get crunchy mixed cereal pieces with a slight sweetness blended with freeze-dried red fruits. The blackberry, raspberry, and redcurrant pieces add a soft bite to the crunchy cereal pieces as well as a burst of sweet fruit flavor with just the right amount of tartness to offset the wholesome sweetness of the cereal.

Today we’re going to have a look at this crunchy, fruity cereal to see if it’s a good part of a balanced breakfast.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal Healthy?

This cereal gets all its flavor from the subtle sweetness of its crunchy wheat bran chunks and sweet freeze-dried fruits and contains no artificial colors or flavors or any complicated unhealthy chemicals.

It’s also packed with a healthy dose of 8 minerals and vitamins which are crucial to a healthy diet.

The natural grains in every All-Bran cereal are a great source of healthy fiber which is crucial towards maintaining a healthy gut as well as improving aspects of your gastrointestinal health such as accelerating intestinal transit. Most scientific evidence shows that wholegrain fiber has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease.

However, a 45g serving of this crunchy wheat bran cereal contains only 176 calories, which is not a substantial amount of energy to take on at the start of the day.

This stat looks worse when we consider that 27g of a 45g serving is carbohydrates and 9.5g of that is sugar. This means that not only does this cereal not provide a substantial amount of sustenance but more than half of it comes from a less complex energy source that will not last very long.

This means that you’ll be hungry soon after your bowl and you may find yourself craving another. For this reason, it’s best to include this cereal as part of a more varied breakfast or simply to have it as an afternoon or evening snack and not solely rely on it to sustain you until lunch.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal Gluten-Free?

The mixed cereal pieces in All-Bran Berry Crunch are made using wheat flour which is not suitable for celiacs or those following a gluten-restricted diet.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal Vegan?

This cereal contains no explicit animal products however anyone observing a cruelty-free diet should always be cautious with any sort of cereal.

During the manufacturing process of cereals, sugar is often whitened using bone char, a substance derived from burnt cattle bones. While this substance isn’t an ingredient, the fact that it is used in the process may not make it compatible with an ethical diet.

With cereals, it’s always best to use your discretion if you’re following a vegan diet.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal Keto?

All-Bran Berry Crunch is not suitable for a keto diet.

A keto diet places your body into a state called ketosis, where it stops using carbohydrates as its main fuel source and instead uses fat to create ketones, a long-lasting energy source.

Keto requires less than 20g of carbohydrates a day to work, meaning the 27g of carbohydrates in a serving of this cereal makes it unsuited to keto.

Furthermore, it contains virtually no fat which is a crucial component in the body’s production of ketones.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal High in Protein?

One serving of this cereal contains 3.5g of protein, which objectively speaking is a low dose of protein but as cereals go it contains a medium amount.

Cereals are often a low source of protein and it’s good to supplement them with something else at breakfast if you are trying to up your intake, like boiled or scrambled eggs.

Is All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal High in Fiber?

The FDA specifies that a food must contain at least 5g of fiber to be classified as high fiber. This cereal contains 5.9g of whole grain fiber in every serving, which is slightly less than normal All-Bran but still a great source of healthy fiber.

Where You Can Buy All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal

You will be able to find All-Bran Berry Crunch in the cereal aisle of your local reputable grocery store. If you have no luck there it can be found online at multiple different retailers.

Famous All-Bran Berry Crunch Cereal Commercials

Kellogg’s marketing didn’t release a TV commercial for this cereal. We can assume they were relying on the dedicated All-Bran fanbase to go out and try this fruity variation on their favorite high fiber cereal.

  • Whole oat flour
  • Dehydrated marshmallows
  • Sugar
  • Wheat starch
  • Modified corn starch
  • Brown sugar
  • Salt

Is Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Healthy?

Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch limited-edition cereal includes galactic marshmallow charms, as well as deliciously sweetened oats.

Two words: sugar levels.

Considering these high levels of sugar, Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch can in no way be regarded as a healthy start to the day. Of course, that doesn’t mean you and your family can’t enjoy it, but due to having 14 g of sugar, plus an additional 7g of added sugar, it isn’t a breakfast offering to be consumed every day if you are in any way health-conscious.

Is Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Gluten-Free?

While many of us can eat wheat just fine, it can cause a range of digestive problems for some. Breezy’s is not a gluten-free cereal as it contains wheat. Therefore it’s not suitable for consumption by anyone who is intolerant to wheat, including those with celiac disease.

Is Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Vegan?

While on the surface, it would appear that the limited edition breakfast cereal is vegan, it does contain sugar as one of its primary ingredients, as previously mentioned.

Many vegans find sugar problematic, particularly how it is defined. The process involves using bone char, essentially carbonized bone, usually from cows, to create the pure white color of sugar that we have become accustomed to.

Is Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Keto?

No, per serving, the cereal contains a whopping 32g of carbs, largely due to sweetened oats, but this also includes galactic marshmallow charms in the mix too.

Therefore, Breezy’s are not suitable for anyone following the keto lifestyle or any other low-carb diet for that matter.

According to SoFlo Snacks, the breakfast favorite has just 3g of protein per serving, but when added to half a cup of fat-free milk, this increases to 7g of protein per serving.

For reference, certain varieties of Kellogg’s Special K contain a whopping 15g of protein, so if your protein intake is crucial to you, Chris Brown, aka Breezy himself, might not be able to help you with his cereal!

Is Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Cereal High in Fiber?

One serving of the galactic marshmallow charms coupled with deliciously sweetened oats is the equivalent to 8% of an average adult’s daily fiber needs. Fiber per portion is 2g, which for a bowl of cereal, isn’t very much.

There are many kinds of cereal with much higher levels of dietary fiber on the market, such as Nature’s Path SmartBran, if you need to need an extra boost of fiber.

Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Cereal Varieties

There is only one variety of this limited edition breakfast cereal from SoFlo Snacks.

Due to the popularity of the cereal, it may be the case that the special collectors’ edition box becomes a permanent fixture on the market, or new flavors and varieties are introduced. Keep an eye out on the SoFlo Snacks website for any additional information about this.

Where You Can Buy Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Cereal

The deliciously sweetened oats breakfast cereal isn’t the easiest cereal to come across, nor is it the cheapest. Unfortunately, it is only available on the SoFlo Snacks website, and remember, as a limited-edition cereal, it’s a good idea to grab it quick.

You can order a box online here at the SoFlo Snacks website.

Famous Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch Cereal Commercials

As of yet, there hasn’t been any sort of formal advertisement for the galactic marshmallow charms breakfast cereal brought to you by SoFlo Snacks.

Thanks to the power of social media, however, when Chris Brown excitedly announced in November of 2021 that fans could pre-order Breezy’s Cosmic Crunch through the SoFlo Snacks website, a flashy new limited-edition cereal in an autographed box, the world went mad – with SoFlo Snacks reporting a huge increase in traffic to their website.

“FINALLY DECIDED TO CREATE MY OWN CEREAL,” Chris Brown told his some 100 million-strong Instagram following.

And that’s really all the publicity you could ever need.

When it was finally released, the QR code really helped ramp up the excitement, with Chris Brown himself offering a variety of prizes. Being in with a chance of winning all manner of prizes, from some free cereal or even a video call with Chris Brown himself, was enough to get the public raving about the cereal.

It’s unsurprising then that the collectible box cereal began to fly from the shelves in such a hurry.
