Helped with Covid

April 24, 2025

My heart rate and blood oxygen were becoming an issue. HR 105+ and O2 about 90, not to mention feeling like crap. I had a hard time eating full meals–not sick…just unmotivated from feeling crappy. Ibuprofen and extra electrolytes/fluids helped regulate symptoms, but just for a short time. I had a hunch, while walking through the supermarket that some sugary–carbohydrate rich cereal might actually help. I generally lean toward keto, by the way. After eating a couple of bowls of Special K with blueberries, most symptoms reset back to normal. I think it was the extra iron and other minerals and vitamins–I may have been short on, plus the needed carbs to jack up cell energy. Forcing myself to get out and take some long walks also helped tremendously, despite the cold weather. Fluids, fluids, fluids–control 02 levels and heartrate (ibuprofen?), eat for nutrition, do breathing exercises, vigorous walking every day…and maybe some Special K with Blueberries to increase iron and “something else” in that cereal that may have helped me bring my symptoms quickly under control. I know that cereal long-term is probably horrible for you, but just for a couple of days to fight the flu…I think it is a fairly safe option to help get over some flu symptoms. A $22 Pulse Oximeter on amazon might save your life! Stay in control of your health.

I still love Special K

May 10, 2023

I love Special K. I eat a lot of it. It’s a little short on protein. So I will have to eat something else as well to make up the shortage of the protein. I wish it was 100% healthy…… I still will continue to eat it. I love the one with the blueberries 😋
